After being closed from December 2017 for its inaccessibility, the tempio had been restructured until July 2020. During the first period, works focused on the wood part and the structure of it. Then, on October, workers continued on the roof; on November and December they followed on the skylight and the small chapel. At the beginning of 2012 everything had been cleaned and replaced together with the internal decorations: the crucifix, the Madonnina, the Via Crucis’ stops, the desks and the aisle finally. Now it is possible to see the fresco, Puzzolo’s work, that calls the attention from the apsis.
Outside, two frescos dedicated to blood and organs donation had been renewed from all the damage and then cleaned. On April 25th 2021, at 11 am, the tempio opened its doors again, together with a festival Mass.
